Baghdad – Abbas Radi Al-Amiri, Director of the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue (IID), confirmed on Sunday that the 8th Baghdad International Dialogue will bring together political leaders, policymakers, and Iraqi and international experts to discuss opportunities for cooperation and strategic partnerships, stressing that the conference outcomes are expected to support state efforts and strengthen regional and international collaboration.
Al-Amiri said that the eighth edition of the Baghdad International Dialogue will be held under the patronage of the Prime Minister on 21–22 August in Baghdad to assess the performance of the first 100 days of the Ninth Government and examine Iraq’s vision for moving from crisis management toward building strategic partnerships.
The conference will be held under the theme, “100 Days Since the Formation of the Ninth Government: Iraq’s Transition from Crisis Management to Building Strategic Partnerships.” According to Al-Amiri, the event comes at a critical stage for both Iraq and the wider region and will serve as a national and international platform to evaluate the government’s first 100 days, discuss priorities for the next phase, and present the state’s vision for enhancing security, stability, and sustainable development.
He added that the forum will convene a distinguished group of political leaders, decision-makers, thinkers, experts, and academics from Iraq, the region, and around the world to exchange views on major regional and international challenges and explore opportunities for cooperation and strategic partnerships that contribute to development and stability.
Al-Amiri noted that the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue is continuing its preparations to welcome participants and guests from Iraq and abroad, expressing hope that the recommendations of the 8th Baghdad International Dialogue will support the Iraqi state’s efforts and promote regional and international cooperation in pursuit of shared interests.
