The first session of the 6th Baghdad International Dialogue Conference was held today under the theme “Iraq’s Security Landscape and Regional Stability Dynamics,” featuring senior officials and experts in security and political affairs.
Participants included His Excellency Qasim Al-Araji, Iraqi National Security Advisor; His Excellency Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, Minister of Interior; Mr. Rebar Ahmed, Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Region; and Dr. Khalid Al-Yaqubi, Security Advisor to the Prime Minister.
The session was chaired by Dr. Saif Al-Darraji, National Security Advisor, where speakers addressed current security challenges facing Iraq, the role of regional and international cooperation in promoting stability, and the dynamics affecting security across the Middle East.
Speakers emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts between Iraqi, regional, and international institutions to confront security threats and maintain both domestic and regional stability. They also highlighted the need to enhance Iraq’s political and security capacities to ensure a safe and stable environment for the country and the broader region.
