President of the Republic at the Sixth Baghdad International Dialogue Conference: Dialogue Is the Path to Stability, and There Is No Security in the Region Without Justice for Palestinians

The President of the Republic affirmed, during his speech at the Sixth Baghdad International Dialogue Conference, the importance of think tanks and research centers in promoting a culture of dialogue in the region and contributing to informed decision-making, stressing that understanding and dialogue are the optimal path toward achieving a safe and stable region.

He stated that Iraq has worked, and continues to work, to ensure that it is not a platform for aggression against any regional party, emphasizing its commitment to a balanced policy based on de-escalation and openness, and to creating a supportive environment for dialogue among various parties, particularly the dialogue between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The President added that Iraq believes regional stability cannot be achieved without adopting political solutions and constructive dialogue, noting that research and policy centers play a pivotal role in bridging viewpoints and formulating visions that help address crises.

Regarding the Palestinian cause, the President stressed that there can be no real stability in the region without ending the suffering of the Palestinian people, underscoring the necessity of restoring their legitimate rights and establishing their state on their national territory as a fundamental gateway to lasting peace and security in the Middle East.

He also noted that the Baghdad Dialogue Conference represents an important platform for the exchange of ideas and the enhancement of regional cooperation, reflecting Iraq’s growing role as a bridge for dialogue and understanding between countries of the region and the world.
