Launch of the Third Session of the Baghdad International Dialogue Conference on“The Role of Iraq in Regional Security After October 7”

The third session of the Baghdad International Dialogue Conference is currently underway under the title “The Role of Iraq in Regional Security After October 7,” with the participation of a select group of diplomats and experts specializing in regional and security affairs.

The session brings together Dr. Farid Yasin, former Iraqi Ambassador to Washington; Ryan Crocker, former U.S. Ambassador to Baghdad; Hamid Reza Gholamzadeh, Head of the Iranian Diplomatic House; Matthieu Rey, Director of the French Institute for the Near East (IFPO); and Abbas Dahouk, a retired colonel and regional affairs researcher.

The session is moderated by Dr. Ahmed Mahjoub from the Ghada Risk Management Foundation. Speakers are discussing the repercussions of regional developments following October 7, Iraq’s role in strengthening regional security and stability, as well as the challenges it faces amid ongoing geopolitical changes.
