Iraq’s Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, emphasized the importance of dialogue as a core approach to addressing domestic and regional issues, highlighting the government’s support for the exchange of ideas and collaborative efforts to achieve stability and development.

Speaking at the 7th Baghdad International Dialogue, in the presence of prominent political and academic figures from Iraq and abroad, Al-Sudani stressed that the government is fully aware of the internal and external challenges facing Iraq. He underlined that maintaining a balanced, non-aligned policy has been a significant challenge, yet Iraq has successfully preserved its course and prevented the spread of conflicts in the region.

Al-Sudani also referred to the events of October 7, describing them as a pivotal moment that impacted the concepts of the right to life and existence for the Palestinian people. He affirmed that Iraq continues to pursue development and reconstruction despite the challenges, noting that the government has managed, through dialogue, to conclude the mission of the international coalition and transition to balanced bilateral relations.

Regarding regional stability, the Prime Minister highlighted Iraq’s success in initiating and encouraging dialogues between various parties, notably the Saudi-Iranian dialogue, which has contributed to reducing tensions and enhancing security in the region.
