Dr. Abbas Radi Al-Amiri, Director of the Iraqi Dialogue Institute, received today, Thursday, the United Nations Special Representative in Iraq, Mr. Mohammed Al-Hassan, to discuss the latest political developments in Iraq and the region, as well as ways to strengthen stability and constructive dialogue.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Amiri extended an official invitation to Mr. Al-Hassan to attend the 7th Baghdad International Dialogue and deliver a keynote speech at the opening session, highlighting the UN’s vital role in supporting dialogue efforts and fostering understanding among different parties.
For his part, the UN Special Representative praised the Iraqi Dialogue Institute’s active role in promoting national and regional dialogue, emphasizing the importance of the Baghdad International Dialogue as a platform that brings together elites and decision-makers to discuss critical issues and the responsibilities of the elite toward the future of Iraq and the region.
