Political figures have praised the Baghdad International Dialogue, organized by the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue (IID) and scheduled to launch on 22 February 2025, stressing its role in strengthening Iraq’s regional and international standing and highlighting the country’s ability to host major events.
President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid said that “Iraq continues to strengthen its role in shaping regional and international solutions, and the Baghdad International Dialogue represents an important opportunity to enhance dialogue and mutual understanding among countries, especially in light of the current challenges facing the region and the world.”
For his part, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani affirmed that “the Seventh Baghdad International Dialogue is an important annual gathering that reflects Iraq’s pivotal role in promoting regional dialogue by hosting a distinguished group of thinkers and decision-makers from the region and the world.”
Meanwhile, the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, stated that “the Baghdad International Dialogue is an important opportunity that brings together global elites to discuss key options and decisions, and it is commendable that Iraq serves as the focal point of this dialogue.”
In a related context, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Ali Al-Allaq, noted that “the Baghdad International Dialogue reflects Iraq’s ability to host major events and constitutes a convergence point for visions that support security and development in the region and the world.”
It is worth noting that the Seventh Baghdad International Dialogue will be held on 22 February 2025, with the participation of a select group of political, economic, and academic figures from inside Iraq and abroad.
