Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Al-Asadi, praised the efforts of the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue in organizing the fifth edition of the Baghdad International Dialogue Conference, stressing that “through this conference, we derive a set of ideas and visions to develop the current situation in Iraq and build for the future.”
In press statements during his participation in the conference, Al-Asadi said that “the convening of this conference coincides with a painful anniversary—the invasion of Iraq—during which we inevitably recall all past experiences and the challenges we have gone through.”
He added that “at the Baghdad International Dialogue Conference, we engage in dialogue with diverse viewpoints and ideas from think tanks, researchers, academics, decision-makers from a considerable number of countries, as well as public opinion leaders.”
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs concluded by saying, “From the Baghdad International Dialogue Conference, we extract material upon which we can build the development of our internal situation and our readiness to shape the future.”
It is worth noting that the fifth edition of the Baghdad International Dialogue Conference concluded its two-day sessions on Monday, March 20, 2023, with the participation of political, economic, and security figures, in addition to thinkers and academics from various countries around the world.
