Baghdad Dialogue Conference 2024
The sixth Baghdad International Dialogue Conference commenced at 9:00 AM last Saturday in the main hall of the University of Baghdad, under the gold sponsorship of the National Internet Company.
The conference, organized by the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue and the German CARPO Foundation for Regional Dialogue, was titled “Exploring Regional Connectivity and the Centrality of Iraq” and continued for two days.
The sixth international conference brought together a group of prominent experts from West Asia, Central Asia, Europe, and North Africa to explore regional connectivity. The attendees included 30 to 40 regional experts, in addition to Iraqi experts, who discussed topics with the potential to stimulate regional cooperation and connectivity.
The topics discussed by the speakers included issues such as:
Energy connectivity.
Environmental cooperation.
Opportunities for regional economic integration.
A collective approach to global security.
The perspective of major powers on regional integration in the Middle East.
