The Fourth Baghdad International Dialogue Conference was launched in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on Saturday, August 21, 2021, under the theme “Strategy for Transitioning into an Effective State,” with the participation of a broad range of political, academic, and research figures from Iraq and abroad.
The conference aims to explore the pathways required for Iraq to move from crisis management toward building an effective state capable of strengthening political and security stability, achieving sustainable economic development, and reinforcing Iraq’s regional and international role.
Conference sessions addressed several key issues, including state institution reform, the promotion of good governance, the development of public policies, as well as Iraq’s role within its regional environment and the challenges it faces amid rapid regional and international transformations.
The conference is part of the Baghdad Dialogue series, which seeks to promote a culture of dialogue and support the role of think tanks and research centers in shaping strategic visions that assist decision-makers in addressing challenges and building a more stable future for Iraq and the region.
