Head of the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue: State-Building Is Linked to a Strategy for Transformation into an Effective State, Which the Fourth Baghdad International Dialogue Will Be Dedicated To

The Head of the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue, Abbas Radi Al-Ameri, stated that the Fourth Baghdad International Dialogue Conference, scheduled to be held in the coming days, has been organized through purely academic efforts and has not received attention from the government or any state official, despite being dedicated to developing a comprehensive strategy for Iraq and advancing all sectors of the state.

Al-Ameri noted that the committees responsible for preparing the conference—particularly the advisory, scientific, and preparatory committees—have exerted significant efforts over the past period, culminating in the final preparations for one of the most important research conferences.

He explained that the conference will be held over one day, with the participation of 100 figures from inside and outside Iraq, who will engage in joint sessions, workshops, and discussions, while strictly adhering to public health and safety measures, which the Institute considers a top priority to ensure the safety of all participants.

Al-Ameri emphasized that the goal of state-building, adopted by the Institute since its establishment, remains the main driving force behind all its activities, despite the difficulty and intensity of the Iraqi political environment. He stressed that delivering solutions to decision-makers and bringing together thinkers, researchers, and specialists at one table with them constitutes a fundamental step toward formulating strategies for transformation into an effective state.

The Fourth Baghdad International Dialogue Conference will be held on August 21 in Baghdad, in cooperation with the Consultative Office of the University of Baghdad and sponsored by Asiacell Telecommunications.

The conference will feature researchers from Iraqi universities including Baghdad, Basra, Karbala, Mosul, Tikrit, Sulaymaniyah, Salahaddin, Diyala, Dhi Qar, Al-Nahrain, Al-Mustansiriya, the Iraqi University, Al-Imam Al-Kadhim College, and Al-Amal University College.

Researchers from Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, the United States, China, Russia, and Sweden will also participate.
